Specialised services
At Deltar we combine electroless nickel plating with a series of specialised services that improve, prepare or restore the treated surfaces.
Among our services are pre-treatment operations, coating removal, localised repairs even on site, and heat treatments.
This integrated approach makes it possible to respond to the most complex needs and to offer tailored solutions for every industrial application.
Our services

Nickel stripping
Nickel stripping makes it possible to remove the previously applied nickel layer in a controlled way, preserving the integrity of the base material. Our dedicated plant performs this operation without the use of aggressive acid solutions and subsequent mechanical operations, allowing the part to be prepared for a new treatment or for overhaul operations.
Touch Up
The Touch Up service is a process designed to carry out localised repairs by restoring the protective coating, intervening even directly in the field on components that present surface damage or coating gaps. Our specialised team carries out localised repairs without disassembly, thus avoiding transport of the part, restoring the thickness and the corrosion and wear resistance properties.

Sandblasting
Sandblasting is a surface pre-treatment service that removes oxides, impurities and contaminants before electroless nickel plating cycles or other coatings. This operation improves the adhesion of the subsequent coating and optimises the surface finish, making it ideal for components requiring careful and uniform preparation.

Surface protection
When the component requires nickel plating only on certain areas, we carry out targeted protection to precisely exclude the zones not to be treated. We use protective paints and masking techniques selected according to the material, geometry and functional requirements of the part. The result is a more controlled, clean nickel plating that complies with specifications, even on complex geometries. On request, we define the areas to be protected together directly on the drawing.

Heat treatments
Heat treatments consist of controlled heating and cooling cycles to increase hardness, improve toughness, limit embrittlement, perform interdiffusion or stabilise the microstructure of the component. Carried out with latest-generation furnaces, these treatments help to optimise the performance of components in particularly stressful or critical operating conditions.
