Grande componente metallico movimentato e particolari cilindrici trattati da Deltar

Surface coatings

In addition to electroless nickel plating, Deltar offers a selection of special surface coatings designed to meet specific technical requirements of performance, durability and protection.

These treatments include coating solutions dedicated to advanced application cases, such as anti-corrosion protection on particular materials, high-performance coatings for metal-to-metal components, and friction reduction (MOLYKOTE®).

Our technical experience and proprietary processes ensure deposit uniformity, wear resistance and stable results over time, integrating perfectly with our electroless nickel plating cycles and with the needs of the most demanding industrial sectors.

SURFACE COATINGS

D‑SHIELD
Protective coating
with low thickness
and high resistance

Main advantages

High corrosion resistance

Absolute deposition uniformity

No edge build-up effect

Low thickness

Self-healing

No wide tolerances on the finished part

Deltar-Shield is a codeposit composed of a zinc-plated base coating,
iridescent or silver passivated, and a Deltar topcoat.

The most important characteristic is the high corrosion
resistance combined with a low thickness.
Deltar-Shield is processed according to the reference
standards ASTM B633-98 and ASTM B117-97.

Componenti sferici con rivestimento protettivo D-SHIELD a basso spessore
Sezione tecnica di una valvola a sfera con sistema di rivestimento SIXEAL®

Main advantages

Corrosion resistance

High hardness

No final grinding

Coating of the entire surface

Elasticity

Lower costs

Optimised timing

SURFACE COATINGS

SIXEAL®
Advanced protection
for high-wear
mechanical applications

From close collaboration between Deltar and the manufacturers of seats and balls comes Sixeal®, a special coating designed specifically for metal-to-metal applications, such as high-pressure ball valves.

This kit, composed of a seat and ball coated with nickel silicon carbide (NiSiC), makes it possible to avoid critical zones, ensuring a drastic reduction in erosion and resulting in excellent wear resistance.

SURFACE COATINGS

DELSIC
High-hardness coating
for surfaces subject
to abrasion

Main advantages

High hardness

High abrasion resistance

High corrosion resistance

Electrical conductivity

Lower costs than a ceramic-like coating

Deposition uniformity

No sandblasting

Weldability

Fast delivery times

No additional operations such as grinding and lapping

DELSIC is an electroless Nickel-Silicon Carbide (NiSiC) codeposit.
This combination makes it possible to obtain a coating with
high surface hardness
, excellent wear resistance and anti-corrosion protection,
even in particularly severe operating conditions.
Thanks to the deposit uniformity typical of electroless nickel plating,
DELSIC is also suitable for components with complex geometries,
cavities, seats and surfaces that are difficult to treat.

Grande componente industriale trattato con rivestimento DELSIC al carburo di silicio
Dettaglio di un componente meccanico con rivestimento autolubrificante Nickel-PTFE

Main advantages

Low coefficient of friction thanks to the uniform presence of PTFE in the matrix

Self-lubricating effect, with reduced rubbing wear

Corrosion resistance typical of high-phosphorus electroless nickel

Deposit uniformity even on complex geometries, cavities and undercuts

Good chemical and thermal resistance

SURFACE COATINGS

NICKEL-PTFE
Self-lubricating
coating for moving
components

Nickel-PTFE is a codeposit made up of high-phosphorus electroless nickel ENP 1012 and PTFE particles (polytetrafluoroethylene) uniformly distributed within the metal matrix.

This coating combines the protective properties of electroless nickel with the tribological characteristics of PTFE, offering a low coefficient of friction, a self-lubricating effect and high corrosion resistance.

Thanks to its deposit uniformity, Nickel-PTFE is particularly suitable for components subject to dynamic contact, sliding and mechanical wear, even on complex geometries or surfaces that are difficult to reach.
